Overview: 

The UK Higher Education International Unit, together with the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the Institut Français, invites you to a one-day conference on European university cooperation in the era of globalisation.

The conference will spark a dialogue among senior UK, German and French higher education and research professionals about the role that European collaborations and partnerships play in an increasingly competitive global environment. It will also provide practical advice and information to HEIs on how best to address these developments in their institutional strategies.

Sessions will include: Reaching out to the world: Perspectives on European cooperation from UK, French and German speakers; Research collaboration: Understanding the challenges to cooperation/FP7HE in world languages: The perspective from France and Germany to teaching in English, and Excellence and sustainability in European Partnerships.

Who should attend?
The conference is aimed at: vice-chancellors; principals and directors; heads of international and European offices; academic registrars, and representatives of HE stakeholder organisations from both the UK and other EU Member States
