This course aims to motivate and engage participants to learn about the internationalisation of their institutions and to help achieve institutional goals by operating more effectively in their role, especially through partnerships and cross-institution working.


It supplements our online training programme, Internationalisation Training Toolkit (see page 2), and provides an opportunity to explore with colleagues some of the key issues covered in the online modules.


By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

  • http://www.ukcisa.org.uk/images/icons/GIF/members-bullet.gif);">identify and build more effective working relationships across the institution
  • http://www.ukcisa.org.uk/images/icons/GIF/members-bullet.gif);">identify key resources, internal and external to the institution, which can support them in their work
  • http://www.ukcisa.org.uk/images/icons/GIF/members-bullet.gif);">address ethical issues within an appropriate framework, understand the boundaries of their role and how these inter-relate with those of other staff
  • http://www.ukcisa.org.uk/images/icons/GIF/members-bullet.gif);">formulate an action plan for their continued professional development

This course is suitable for:

anyone new in post in an international role within the last twelve months who is taking the Internationalisation Training Toolkit course online. Please note that this course does not cover specific advice areas such as immigration or fee status.


Prerequisites:

Before attending the course, students will be expected to have completed at least two modules of Internationalisation Training Toolkit, namely Getting Started and The International Student Journey. Completion of other modules is optional.
